e finestre illuminate

vorrei navigar l’inchiostro

del mio dire

sognando di altri voli

tra le fronde

oramai bianche

e di altre poesie

tornare

a salutar l’arrivo del mattino

che non invecchia

le panchine

né il ciliegio

e matura i miei frutti

per altri cent’anni

As if they were Nightingales

From skies without rain

and illuminated windows

I would like to navigate in the ink

of my words

dreaming of other flights

among the fronds

that have turned white

and of other poems

in order to return

to greeting the arrival of a morning

that does not age

the benches

nor the cherry tree

but does mature my fruits

for a hundred years more
